It all began in 1974 when the Giordano family opened their first restaurant on Chicago's South Side. Inspired by the sfincione — a traditional Sicilian pizza from their hometown — Efren and Joseph Boglio set out to create something extraordinary: a deep dish stuffed pizza unlike anything America had ever tasted.
